CARBONIQ is a bluff and strategy game that helps you becoming aware of the environmental impact of your daily actions. Its main goal is to give you tangible information and ideas to understand better what’s behind the concept of «carbon footprint» and manage it better.
THE AIM OF THE GAME is to evaluate better than the other players your impact, to be the one with the lowest carbon footprint.
SCIENTIFIC: Each card shows its carbon footprint on the back, measured in kgCO2 equivalent. These calculations are made by engineers using the most up-to-date scientific research.

HOW TO PLAY CARBONIQ? After building your yearly carbon footprint, each player must try to improve their footprint to win the game. To do this, you'll need strategy, bluffing skills, and the ability to estimate the carbon footprint of your daily actions. Each card represents an action such as: buying a smartphone, forgetting to turn off the light, eating a big burger, or going on vacation by carpooling. Each action is associated with the amount of CO2 it emits, allowing you to compare, in a fun way, everything that makes up your life.
The better a player is at estimating the carbon footprint of their actions, the more likely they are to improve their global yearly impact on the planet and win the game. However, be careful—your opponents are unlikely to make it easy for you, and they may try to steer you with some attacks that will weigh heavily on your (carbon) balance!
